Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Hello. Now that he's in I thought I'd throw him out there for a few more lines. This is Grayson Ellis, 32, journalist with a regular column for The Huffington's Lifestyle section. Prior to that he worked for the NY Times. He's lived in NY since moving here for college (he's originally from Massachusetts) and is pretty much a workaholic when he's not at the gym or interviewing someone for his column or out on yet another blind date. His best friend's [info]savorski, his neighbor's [info]pera and he's friends with a previous ex [info]ctln.

Friends, co-workers, cousins, gym buddies, people he might have interviewed for his writing, and as the unlucky in love, he could do with a few more exes, perhaps even the recent ex he dated for the past year but when he proposed, she turned him down, or they could have been engaged and she broke it off.

Or anything you got, I'd be happy to brainstorm.

Really odd. This is Ellis Brayson. She's a relationship columnist for The Times. Not only do they have nearly the same name, but nearly the same job. I'm sure they'd know each other, at least.

Wow... This is possibly the most bizarre rp experience I've ever had. Former colleagues from the Times, Gray would have thrown in plenty of name related jokes. He accepted a job with the Huffington a couple of months ago but he'd still keep in touch if you think they'd be friends.

What's even more bizarre, if you read her bio, she broke up with an ex last year when he wanted to get serious and she wasn't ready. She's also an author, I'n the middle of writing her second book, so it's possible she calls him for ideas and inspiration.

I just finished reading her bio, perhaps Gray reviewed her first book before she started working for the Times, and they seem to share a cynicism of relationships (although he still holds onto his old fashioned notion of love and romance) so I can see them having plenty of discussions about the articles they were writing, and definitely bouncing ideas off each other. He'll happily share ideas and inspirations or tell her about the people he's interviewing or talking to for articles.

Perfect. She also just got back with her ex, and they're trying to keep it a secret all around. So I'd love someone who knows and is giving her grief for it.

That sounds great, and while he's a big believer in second chances/people redeeming themselves, he'd certainly find it confusing that she was willing to give him another go considering her experiences, particularly as I can see him being intrigued by her and her views and how she managed to turn her life around. But being the down to earth type, he'd respect her decisions.

It surprised her more then anyone. But she knows she's established now, even if they dud break up it wouldn't be as devastating for her. Plus she does still love him. She is worried she'll lose respect and her job, actually. So it's pretty complicated.

Nothing's jumping out at me right off the bat, but I'm up for some brainstorming! This is Charlotte Rousseau, but everyone calls her Lotte. She's a 25 year old freelance makeup artist and hair stylist. She's worked for New York's Fashion Week for the last 3 years and she's possibly one of the happiest, sweetest people you could meet. She's an only child, originally from Huntington Beach, CA and her premade is "the rainbow brite" which is also one of her nicknames. She's very bright and colorful and in general loves every aspect of her life. She's completely in love with the idea of falling in love and has had a few past relationships over the years, but sadly, nothing that's managed to last.

Nora works the television end of the journalistic spectrum for SNY, but maybe they've met at industry functions and became friends or something?

I could offer Amina as a friend, maybe someone who has tried to set him up on dates or took him out on a practice date to see where he could possibly be going wrong but she still tries all she can to hook him up with whoever. Girls at her office, people she works on, walking down the street asking if girls are single. She's kind of a live one that would pull things like that.

Cristella Blackwell's background is based around the fact that her father has Bill Gates' credits so her family is well known but not famous, per se. She had been engaged at one point to a Senator and called it off and then as an act of defiance posed for Playboy. Now she is dating ~sqc (who has Jon Stewart credits) and they have a two year old son together and she refuses to get married. Is this the type of person he might have interviewed? could they possibly be friends through her husband's line of work, too since both of them are media orientated?
