Hello everyone. Now that his information is all in place, allow me to introduce Rowan Collins. Originally from Scarborough, England in the North Yorkshire area he is the 31-year-old Marketing Director of the Giorgio Armani Corporation located on Madison Ave. Though the company is global, this New York chapter focuses most of its attention on the 5th Ave. Armani store and is the primary distributor of the Armani line in the states. He has a bachelor's degree in business with a concentration in global business, as well as a master's degree in integrated marketing, both from NYU.

A bit of a workaholic, Rowan's love life leaves a little to be desired, particularly when it comes to making a relationship last. He is charming and suave, confident and relaxed. Flirting comes quite naturally, but he has some serious commitment issues; once a woman gets too close and brings up the "M" word he tends to flee as quickly as possible. He has a stream of reasons -read here as excuses- for why he breaks off these relationships, but it's really just because he's scared and refuses to openly admit that the idea of giving up his bachelor lifestyle terrifies him. He enjoys the control he has within his career and the idea that he can't carry that over and have all the control in his relationships as well is something he deals with the best he can, however he finds it somewhat annoying.

Rowan loves the finer things in life and his 83rd Street apartment is filled with imported Italian leather furniture, large luxurious area rugs, and the best of everything else money can buy. He has no children and has never been married, though he was engaged once for a short time. You can read more about Rowan in his BIO. As far as storylines go, he's pretty much a blank slate right now. I would love to perhaps find a couple of best guy friends, as well as perhaps fill the open spots in his relationships section which include two ex-girlfriends and his ex-fiancee. Other than that, I'm open to anything else. Casual acquaintances, co-workers, family, and of course any of the countless flings/one night stands that he's had. Looking forward to playing this guy with you!

I love how he sounds. Meghan isn't British, but she is from Northern Ireland and I'd love to throw her in for some lines. She's 23 and she's been stateside since she was 16. She would easily fall for the charms of someone wealthy and successful, especially when she is the polar opposite of that. She's poor, gets most of her clothing from donation and unemployed. Meghan currently doesn't even have a place to live so I would love to brainstorm a way for them to meet or have met in the past?

I think that sounds like fun. He'd certainly find her attractive and always welcomes the idea of meeting another UKer since they seem to be few and far between on the streets of New York. He would probably shower her in gifts of clothes and perfumes and handbags; Rowan likes to spread the wealth around. I think, aside from having commitment issues, he also has issues understanding that a healthy relationship doesn't have to involve material objects. I'm sure he'll also enjoy the idea that a 23 year old would want to be around him; turning 30 was the darkest day of his life and he feels as though each year past that is only the world's way of twisting the knife, haha.

Well, right now, she's currently pregnant from a one night stand and she is giving the baby up for adoption to a wealthy family but you can bet she probably stands around at the Armani store wishing like hell that she could go in there. She has a hard time accepting that people like her for who she is because she is really genuinely kind and sweet but most of the time she feels like a burden to the people she knows because everyone else has money and nice things.

Ah, I see. Well, all the same, if she stood around the Armani store he'd probably see her during his weekly visits. If he noticed her around enough, he might ask her if she was hungry and wanted to grab a bite to eat. Pregnant or not, a pretty woman is still a pretty woman in his eyes. He's quite the romancer and if wooing women were an art form he'd be a master, it's really too bad that he's such a commitmentphobe or he'd make a wonderful husband I'm sure.

She would love that so much, like you don't even know. I think she is having a lot of self-image issues because she doesn't feel beautiful at all when before she wouldn't have any issues getting a date or any of that. Anyway, he just needs a different perspective and maybe some day he'll change his mind! I can see Meghan wanting to take care of him. She is very nurturing and has always been around men (with five brothers). They can talk about football and rugby.

I'm sure if she ever got comfortable enough to tell him that, Rowan would understand. He has two older sisters, both of whom have children so he's been around pregnant women and babies most of his life. I'm sure he'll change his mind eventually. I've been talking with another player here about her character and Rowan dating in the future so we'll see what happens there. Yes! Footy! He'll be happy to hear someone else call it that instead of being like, "Do you mean football or soccer?" It annoys him that people call American football, "football" when you barely use your feet at all! Haha...

	I'll happily throw Meghan in for potential romance, too but I would really like to do something organic with her so we should definitely scene them! I'm kind of thinking about getting her into modeling or other cliche things which maybe he can eventually be a part of as well. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Oh definitely, I never force anything on a character. I just plant seeds and see where it goes from there. As for the modeling thing, Rowan did some during college for the money so he knows a lot of people in that business and could help her out if she chooses that path. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	I was sitting here trying to figure out the PB without clicking the journal. Zeus! This is Ellis, she's originally from London and a relationship columnist for the Times. Yes! Zeus, Apollo, or as I first knew him, Aramis. Haha!

I'm sure if she's done pieces for such high profile fashion magazines then she's been to her fair share of New York Fashion Week events and he goes to all of those types of line launches, gala parties, etc. Maybe she's interviewed him before for a piece on young fashion execs? Or they just simply bumped into each other at the bar and got to talking about England.

	She has, more so because her agent makes her rather then because she wants to be there. She went to Columbia and wanted to be a proper journalist, so for a long time she resented the fact she became more of a 'society' writer. She'd still have been charmed, I'm sure, meeting him. 	That sounds good to me. Rowan's interest in fashion started when he was in boarding school for secondary school back in England. He knew he wanted to be successful and wealthy, somewhat of a middle finger to his father, and he was just sort of a natural when it came to advertising and marketing; he's very charismatic. These two sound like they have a few things in common. She's very devoted to her career and also a commitmentphobe. She has a child with ~krenard, though they're separated. She's an interior designer for a design and architect firm-maybe the firm has done work for the Armani stores and they meet that way? And I could throw her out there for a one night stand. She's had a few also because of her stance on relationships.

	i'd love to offer pera up for something. i'm really curious to hear more details on ex #2. I'm not sure if we could make that work or not because she's not really one for relationships, but if it was an on and off thing then it might just work somehow... (Reply to this)
