the photographer.
Well hello, holiday survivors! After a little bit of brainstorming with ahawtrey, I've finally decided to hold Adam Gregory's face as the photographer. But he's not just any ol' photographer, this guy's the wedding photographer all the ladies dream of. Especially after his business was mentioned in Glamour magazine which allowed him to move up a tier in the photog industry. His amazing and contemporary view on wedding photography has become all the rage and it helps that he doesn't charge an arm and a leg to be hired.
Andrew Burchell has become a name commonly used in the blogosphere and his portfolio is something often mentioned by wedding planners and event coordinators. I'd love to come into the community with a decent number of couples whose wedding he's shot. He's been in business for just over six years now but his business model hasn't changed since he started. He doesn't just sell his services, that's not why he's such a hot commodity, he sells the experience of working with him. He makes his couples feel loved and spoiled and is passionate about hearing their stories, sending them hand written reminders for shoot dates (he always tosses a free engagement session in with each wedding so the couples can get familiar with him and being behind a lens) and extending offers for lunches and dinners in order to build a friendly rapport with them. Being gay also happens to be a big selling point of his as most men tend not to feel threatened by him when their future-wives gravitate to his charm.
He's still close with a few of the couples he's shot over the years and many of them have used him for maternity sessions, family portraits, and even boudoir photos as surprises for their husbands or husbands-to-be. I'd also love a line with someone who could be his go-to second shooter for weddings. Maybe someone who picked up photography as a hobby, doesn't want to do it full-time, but loves working the weekend weddings with Andrew who has taken them under his wing to teach them everything he knows. They would be the ones who constantly reminded Andrew not to work so hard and maybe they've developed into best friends of sorts. An "aspiring director" line would also be awesome as Andrew is looking to expand his business into something in the vain of Iris & Light.
So happily (and even the not so happy) wedded couples, what'cha got for him?
