Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Hey [info]wedded. I just finished writing up Farrah here with the face of the lovely Scarlett Johansson, so I figured I'd put her out there for some lines before I go ahead and app her later tonight or tomorrow, at the latest. She's from Nashville, TN and just very recently moved to New York when she won the Tennessee power ball. She's a typical country girl, but she's no southern bell. She's a bit rude, very crude, and really is the new money. She's an ex-stripper and is very unapologetic for the way she acts and she'll probably never change. I have an ex-boyfriend for her already, who is also coming into the game, but I would love everything else! Friends, more people in high society who either love her for being the way she is(which is very few, I'm sure) or they despise her for it, maybe a fling or two(though I don't usually plan those kind of lines), and whatever else you might want to throw at me!

Welcome to the new money, crass bras(h) and otherwise an ass party! I have a feeling she and Lee will get on wonderfully.

Lee is a Canadian boy who grew up in a tiny town on Vancouver Island. He's pretty stereotypical with that -- can kill and skin a deer amongst other things, loves his hockey, swears like a sailor, drinks like a fish, etc -- all of which is compounded since he grew up with four brothers. He ended up in Vancouver proper after University working for the Canadian branch of a publishing house, but was "discovered" a few years in and offered close to a million dollars for the rights to his first novel. Obviously, he quit his day job and when the novel (and the few after that) sold well, quit Canada as well to move to New York. He's been there for about seven years now, has a 6 year-old daughter and has managed to amass a small fortune for himself but still has all his bad habits and has managed to piss off the majority of the "elite writers" circle in the City so the circles he moves in tend to be less noueveau riche and more blue collar. He's also a huge geek and has no "game" whatsoever unless he's three sheets to the wind but he's been told he's "the most entertaining person ever" so there's that?

Lee definitely sounds like someone Farrah would want to keep around, especially if he can dish out the jokes and take them right back. She really has no idea how to act around all the rich people in her building, so it's possible she might call Lee for a little entertainment, maybe even a beer or two. She's a flirt, but she doesn't jump into bed with just anybody, so there's that lol. Where in NY does he live exactly? Maybe they could even be neighbors if it works out.

He's down in Greenwich Village but on 5th Ave. I know he has a few neighbours (or at least people within the same neighbourhood) IG so that would add her extra connections as well!

Oooh, that sounds like a good idea to me. I'll have to find her a place around there then, which will give them more of an excuse to know one another.

Shelby Lee is OLD money. Really, really old money as in her father is the fourth generation of Penningtons running the fictional Penn Oil company and she is the sole hear to that fortune. She's getting ready to marry Sebastian Vandermay who is the future NY Governor. The thing about Shelby Lee, though, is she isn't judgmental and she would think that Farrah is pretty funny and very interesting. Shelby Lee has written off most of her Texas debutante friends so I would love to figure out a way for her to meet Farrah. perhaps at some sort of fundraiser for the governor's election? Shelby Lee is very well respected in the community because she's from old money, sweet, well connected, generous and educated so maybe Shelby Lee can bring her around and defend her because none of the other upper east side crowd socialites would say anything bad to Shelby Lee.

That could possibly work. I could say she was invited by someone and it'll be her first ever black tie event, which would be pretty interesting, I think lol. I'm sure Farrah would think Shelby Lee was very sweet, which is typically not the type of female that she's used to lol. We'll have to full around with some details, but I like it so far.

pera's not the society type, but she does have a couple friends that she'll go to parties with just to be their arm candy. like farrah, she's more on the rude and crude side of things, so either they'll get along fabulously or they might end up rubbing each other the wrong way. we can go organic with that, if you'd like, or we can plot something more specific. up to you!

I'm a huge fan of organic, since it's kind of hard to tell if the two characters haven't interacted. Usually Farrah seems to butt heads with people who are more like her, but she also gets along with a select few. It's possible Pera is one of those select few, but we could always wait and see. What does she do for a living?

she's fairly on the easy going side, unless in a bad mood or the person she's interacting with just bugs the crap out of her, but yeah we can definitely see how they mesh. she's a manager of a nightclub in manhattan, so she's a night life junkie and loves to go out on the town and have a good time.

Farrah isn't at all uptight and she's pretty damn easy going herself, but she does have her moments and people usually know to stay clear if she's in a mood haha. The fact that she owns a nightclub will probably peak Farrah's interest, she might even call the club a hangout if she enjoys herself, which I'm sure she would.

sweet! and pera's very generous when it comes to handing out free drinks to those she likes, so i guess we could say that maybe they've met once or twice and the club and go from there?

Yes, definitely. She's only been in New York for, I'm gonna say, about 5 months and she doesn't have a job so she probably goes out just about every night to explore the city. I can see her hearing about the club from somebody and then she went there a few times since then. I'm sure the more she sees Pera, the more she'd talk to her, but we can always play that bit out.
