I wanted to put this guy out there because I've been here a few weeks and haven't done one of these yet. This is Senator Sebastian Vandermay, who is engaged to

shelbylee and is currently running for governor of New York (vote for him on 11/8). I know you're saying to yourself, why the hell would my awesome dude or amazing lady interact with the future governor of New York and my answer to that is: this is the internet and you can do whatever you want!

I would love to find some connections for him, maybe people he's met or journalists who have interviewed him or can potentially interview him. How about some people who have maybe helped on his campaign in the past year? Is there anyone from Boston he could have known going to Law School? I know Shelby Lee has made a lot of connections for people working on their wedding, emphasis on their wedding (hope you're coming on 11/5) so I definitely want to meet those people. Maybe people he's met at random (I love random scenes) or someone he can relate to at having lost a sibling, people he's met in regards to getting gay marriage passed in New York, teachers at schools he's spoken at. As you can see, I am very flexible and please don't let the politician thing hold you back because I'll plot just about anything.

pera's not politically minded whatsoever, so if they were to have met up at some point in the past she probably wouldn't have even known who he is, so i can definitely volunteer her up for someone he met at random. not sure what places he would have frequented? maybe it was a couple years ago. now, knowing that he was some big shot politician, it wouldn't phase her to talk to him or interact. she'd just be really freakin' tempted to tease him about the age gap between him and shelby. :x

Like I've been telling a few others, no need to worry abou the political aspects. I want him to be available here as more of a regular guy interacting with friends and family, not OH MY GOD THE (soon to be) GOVERNOR. haha. Prior to his relationship with Shelby Lee, he was involved for many years with a NPC gf so it's quite possible they met randomly at a restaurant or perhaps Pera knew his ex and we can base their acquaintance off her (aka the ex known as Allyssa). He would taking the teasing in stride, especially if it was someone he was already friends with, and I'd love for people to feel comfortable around him. He's very easy-going and not a stuffy, pompous unapproachable person at all!

	totally, i understand that, which is why the politician thing wouldn't even be something pera would think twice about. i think that'd be great if they had met through his ex, that way they could have some level of friendship going and she wouldn't be entirely offensive if/when she teases him. ;) (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Payton's very involved in the political arena especially with gay marriage and any human rights issues - and let's face it, there are a ton in New York. He's especially interested in education equality and would love to have the ear of the governor. (Reply to this) (Thread)

How long was Sebastian in Boston? Devon is from Boston and if it was after he moved to New York or to Los Angeles, we could always say they know one another through either acquaintances or family members. Devon's family is well-known in Boston, very old money.

My other character Cosette (

bissot) was invited alongside her boyfriend Jacob (lj user="jfoner). They both are staff photographers for GQ and plan to snap a fwe pictures if that's okay.
