Now that he's officially part of the game, I thought it'd be a good time to introduce Spencer Downs. He's 27 years old and was born, raised, and still lives in NYC. The Downs family own and publish over 50 of the nations biggest magazines and newspapers, and they have for generations. However, Spencer hasn't spoken to his parents since he was 18 years old so he's really detatched from their world; he's an only child. Spencer is a musician and has been in bands non-stop since he was a teenager. His band, Worst Kept Secret, released a few records on an indie label and toured all over the world opening for some pretty big bands before finally landing a recording contract with Interscope Records in 2007. However, Spencer got wrapped up in the classic "sex, drugs, and rock n' roll" lifestyle and after being confronted by his bandmates, checked into rehab for heroin addiction. Once he was out of rehab, things got back on track for a while, but the first time WKS went back out on tour, he fell off the wagon. This time, he picked up a coke habit and it was this that led to his bandmates walking away from him, leaving him with their old band name and the stigma that was now attached to it.

They started over, with a new vocalist and name, and took the Interscope recording contract for themselves. Their career has really taken off and they are now quite well known. In the meantime, Spencer's been stuggling with his addiction on and off, while also attempting to pick up the pieces of his life. He's managed to piece together a group of musicians and they're now playing under the old name of Worst Kept Secret and have been able to book a few gigs based off of the clout surrounding the name. His premade is THE SUPERNOVA, and like the word implies, Spencer's star burned incredibly bright for a little while and has since faded. He brought it all on himself, of course, and he knows that deep down somewhere. All in all, Spencer's a friendly guy. He's prone to confrontation, but usually only when provoked, drunk, or when he's coming down off a high and feeling particularly agitated by pretty much everything. Other than playing in the band, Spencer doesn't have a job at the moment and has been living off of his trust fund (though he never talks about his family's wealth) and the money that he had saved up from recordings and tours with WKS in its original form. In relationships, it's best to just say that Spencer's been around the block more than his fair share of times over the years. Being a literal rock star, even if only for a very short while, he had easy access to women. He doesn't really do the girlfriend thing, but he's had countless one night stands and weekend flings.

As far as storylines go, Spencer has actually taken on [info]emersonblake as a roommate. She's been living with him for the last few months, but there's nothing romantic there, obviously. I would love past, present, and future one night stands, flings, and exes. He hasn't had many, but he has had a couple. It would also be great to have maybe some of his ex band members, current band members, or just other people around the music scene/industry that might have personally witnessed his unfortunate rise and fall. Lastly, what a rocker be without fans and/or groupies? If you're interested in anything else, just talk to me about it. I'm really here to play so I'm willing to work things out and I love random scenes and run-ins.

Sorry this is so long, I didn't mean for it to be. If you're interested in actually reading more about Spencer other than his brief overview, you can find all his information HERE.
