Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
I figured I should do this now. I'm really bad at getting new lines for some reasons so I thought doing this before joining might get me a few extra bites.

This is Delilah Strange (yes, real name, but highly inaccurate) and her pre-made is The Aspiring Director. She's already an accomplished screenwriter with a full dozen films under her belt on her own and nearly another dozen written with partners, but she longs to tell her stories through the lens as well. She's been telling stories since she was a kid and she'll probably never stop. Over all she's actually very, very normal except for the fact that she probably tries a little too hard to fall in love. At only thirty she's been left at the alter by her high school sweetheart (I would love to have that line!) and widowed by the man she fell for in college. She's roommates with [info]cameronjc, a guy she dated a few times in high school before she got tired of crying every time he would forget to meet her for a date. She's sweet, too sweet, the kind of sweet that is probably going to make a lot of people roll their eyes, and one day it may get her very hurt, but she refuses to believe in it fully. She believes intently in the good of mankind, and that everyone has something good inside them (told you, it's sickeningly sweet). Unlike her roomie she is a serial monogomist, and loves being in relationships, she can just never seem to get them to stick. She loves horror movies, arguing about film, her Bowflex Tredclimber, shopping, her animals (3 dogs, 1 cat, 2 gerbils), yoga, Audrey Hepburn, Civil Twilight, Kings of Leon, and surfing.

Line wise she will definitely need girlfriends. Random guys to date, one that she's used exclusively for sex and he knows little about her other than her name, her deceased husband's brother who she's still good friends with, the high school sweet heart that left her at the alter, friends who also work in the industry, the one buddy (male or female) who ALWAYS manages to get her completely wasted. Cliche things like that. I'm not fond of preset romance, so don't worry I'm not looking for that, if that happens I'll want it to be natural. I DO have the possibility of half-siblings as her father was a womanizing bastard who never really wanted to be a father and never stuck around with people long enough to find out if he was going to be one, so if someone wants something like that, it would honestly be pretty awesome.

Now that I've rambled and probably made no sense because it's late and I got no sleep last night... who wants to give me lines?

I can offer Nat as a friend from the industry (kinda). She's a news reporter but maybe when she's worked a few of of the films Delilah has scripted? Before she made reporter she was running cameras and audio, so I could definitely see her freelancing stuff like that in her spare time.

I think that would be good, very good. As a screenwriter it's not like she's well known (outside of those that are also directors how many screenwriters can you name really? lol) but she would have people INSIDE the industry who knew her, so I think that's a great idea.

What's she like? Does she need anything?
