Zoe held the child for a moment, just held it and whispered to it, letting it-no, her know that everything was okay. The little girl stared up at the big woman, quiet for a few moments, before she started screaming her fool head off. Zoe understood the girl was scared, but did she have to scream? The Amazon didn't get a chance to try comforting anyone because the mother walked right over and scooped her baby out of the nasty woman's arms.
"Did she scare you?"
Zoe's jaw dropped slightly at that question. Her left side felt a little sore, and it was possible she had scratches here and there. Since when did saving people's lives mean...
Her confusion was doubled by the fact that someone was standing not too far off, breathing just as hard as she was. He didn't look hurt, but there were some not too happy motorists who had started to yell at not only the still standing man, but also at everyone else.
"Hey, you okay?" Zoe managed to find her feet, brow raised. "You didn't do somethin' stupid like try to redirect traffic did you?" Which could have been done any number of ways.
