Kaylee stared between them, what the hell was going on. Why were they singing for? Kaylee stepped around, and found herself walking quite funny, more than walking, it was almost dancing. She didn't dance. Was this some kind of weird subliminal thing? Like what happened with River?
Kaylee found herself between them again, and suddenly it didn't feel too friendly, like she was out of place. Was this something that Mal had ever warned her about? Friendly lookin' people being all sorts of gorram trouble?
"If it weren't for the city my friends would all be dead, and I would be as we-e-ell. So it seems to me this place can't all be bad, why act like we're in hell?" Kaylee almost clamped her hands over her mouth, but found she didn't sound quite that bad, at all.
Kaylee looked right at Billy, her eyes softened a little. obviously she enjoyed this city for the fact that all her friends were alive and well now, and as they should be. But at the same time, she was bad about something.
