"No! No. Wait.. you're dead? You don't look like a zombie." Horrible peered at Kaylee. "I'm not dead. Just here. In this place..."
Being a zombie was not on a list of experiences Billy wanted to repeat again. He cleared his throat and tried to think of some other way to explain it, or reassure Laura. Part of him just wanted to hop back in the van and get his groceries. Just because Billy prided himself on his evilness didn't mean he couldn't also be nice. They weren't exactly exclusive terms where he came from.
Music started to replace the sound of traffic as a song started up. The problem with the music was that it just happened and people tended to get caught up in it without realizing that they were speaking in melody.
Billy certainly didn't realize what he did: "Any dolt with half a brain can see this whole damn City is insane. To the point where I don't know if I'll upset the status quo if I take it over, at least of what remains.
"Listen close to everybody’s heart and hear that breaking sound? Hopes and dreams are shattering apart and crashing to the ground..."
ooc: feel free to have them join in with the singing or... to just kinda stare. >>
