Laura blinked at the man as he described what must be his fantastical version of reality. Sure, this place smelled a little strange, but Laura had been all over the world on missions for Weapon X and she had never even heard of such a mythical place.
"Scientifically improbable, if not impossible." Her voice was flat, devoid of either surprise or belief.
She turned to the woman with raised eyebrows. "Love what?" A beat. "You died and came here?" None of her 'academic' texts had gone into the afterlife. Her philosophy and religious ones had, yes, but as they were nothing more than unscientific discourse, they had no merit in the real world. The woman had Laura confused now. Had she somehow died on the bus? Why hadn't her healing factor saved her. "Is everyone here dead?"
