Anita heard the knocking as she was about to open the door and cocked her head to the side. Well, wasn't that just a little too convenient?
A long familiarity with magic made her wary of coincidences. She made sure she had easy access to her Browning before opening the door.
"Yea, I've been in here. For a freaking month. Stupid City not letting me deal with the stupid zombies."
As the door opened, Anita belatedly thought to use her necromancy to test out the stranger (cute stranger) on the other side. What she sensed confused her. There was the cool feeling of death about him...but he was human. He wasn't a zombie or a human servant that she could tell. It startled her enough that she lost what little tact she had left.
"Who are you and why do you feel dead but yet not dead?"
