"Right. Well, hang on." Without any further warning, Lee ran at the edge of the building and jumped off. There was no fancy rooftop-to-rooftop leaping this time, just a plummet to the ground. Her cloak flapped in the wind around both Lee and Susan as they fell. "Brace yourself," she called back, hoping the girl could hear the words above the rush of air. "Landings are always the rough part."
There was no splat, no crunch--just a very solid thump as Lee hit the ground. "Oof."
