Robin's eyes widened in disbelief over the cover of cloth that cloaked the rest of his face. It wasn't Blind Seer's message that had him surprised so much as the fact that Robin was starting to think that talking to the wolf wasn't so mad afterall. At least, it wasn't as mad as a wolf 'talking' back.
"She'll want to attack me, yes, I know." His eyes shifted back to the young woman, just to reassure himself that she was still in sight. "I'm counting on that." Perhaps it was Blind Seer's turn to think the outlaw was crazy. Most of his men did when a plan was first forming.
"She's not listening to you, now is she? She'll at least follow me. If she follows me, I can lead her back into the woods and I'll find a way to keep her there. I've got rope at my camp to bind her safely until we can find a place to quarantine her" Robin's fingers tugged down the fabric from his face, uncovering his nose and mouth. "There has to be a cure. If there isn't, the infection will spread to everyone eventually." Robin's round about way of admitting even he could only run from it for so long. "But if the others slice off her head, there isn't even a chance."
Robin exhaled slowly. "And I'll have a better chance with help, friend."
