Bruce wasn't sure if the "supervillain" label was serious or not. It was a legitimate term where he came from (and had even been applied to the Hulk a couple of times in the news), but it didn't have much gravity for most people here. From what he gathered, they saw supervillains as inventions of juvenile fiction, more likely to be laughable than threatening.
Either way, this girl seemed to have about as much respect for her parents as any class-skipping teenager. Probably best not to pry further now, as she said.
"Well I for one can't think of a better way to thwart supervillains than with a taste of their own medicine. If you're up for the challenge, there's an empty seat in my class. We're blowing things up today."
