Blind Seer stood by and let Firekeeper speak for them. They had decided that here in this place, they were the Ones of their own tiny pack and would act accordingly. He was physically unable to add his brags to Firekeeper's, and while wolf protocol would have been to circle and sniff the others, he knew from prior experience that humans tended to take it as an aggressive gesture from him. He had to content himself with taking in scent cues from a distance. He wagged his tail once in acknowledgment of the second woman's greeting, pleased to be remembered. It was annoyingly rare that humans afforded him the consideration that they would another human.
But... that smell afterwards. Was that...? No. It couldn't be. Not from a human. Not towards him. His hackles raised unconsciously, and his ears flattened. Firekeeper turned towards him, dignity dropped, the picture of worry. "What is it, dear heart?"
"Nothing," he said, trying to will his fur flat. "Nothing that you need to concern yourself with. I merely misunderstood a scent, that is all." He licked anxiously at his muzzle, then reassuringly at her hand. "It is nothing to worry about. Please, tell the two-legs that I am pleased to meet them."
Firekeeper straightened up, her brows still knitted in concern, but she dutifully translated his greetings. "Not used to city yet," she said, frowning down at Blind Seer and twining her hand in his ruff.
