She was bored. Out. Of. Her MIND. She didn't especially need to exercise anymore, but she used to run with Ronnie and she missed it. She missed Ronnie more, but this was the closest way of feeling like she was back at home. Pre-ardeur. Pre-everyone and everything trying to either kill her or sleep with her.
It was a very freeing feeling.
She slowed down to her cool-down walk a few blocks from the park where she had met the crazy naked leprechaun. Anita idly wondered what had happened to him and if she would ever meet him for that promised drink.
She thought she spotted a familiar tall head who had spent some time in her office at work. She still had 4 minutes to go on her cool-down walk, maybe she would catch up.
A breeze blew by and Anita started thinking what a nice day the City had graced them with....and then the wolf inside caught the scent. Another wolf was somewhere nearby. Not her kind of wolf, not from her pack...hell, not even a lycanthrope at all. A real wolf.
A wide grin split across her face as she sniffed the air. Things were looking up.
