He wasn't quite sure how to answer at first. It was true that when his unfinished dimensional portal device exploded he and his entire castle had materialized in this city, no more than a few days ago. But nobody passing this new addition to the landscape seemed to give it much more than an interested glance.
"I suppose I am," he said after a pause. Then, offering a meaty paw in greeting, "Savage. Duke Vandal Savage."
The preacher seemed to be familiar with the city. Maybe he could offer some explanation. "This isn't an ordinary city, is it?" he asked, as if wanting to be let in on a prank. "I mean, people don't exactly *move* here with furniture and things in vans, do they?"
