“I would very much--” she began, intending to accept the gracious offer, but she had to pause when her purse kicked her.
“I would like--” she tried again, but this time there was a rather violent flop from within the confines of the bag.
Jeannie frowned at the purse, irritate that even at this size, the leprechaun was proving how very difficult he could be. Unzipping the top of the purse and prying it open just far enough to glare at the morphed canine within. “You will sit still or I shall take you to the veterinarian. And what do you think I will ask him to do? Hmm?”
Let the leprechaun stew on that for a bit.
“I am sorry,” Jeannie apologized to the nice man. “He is not very well behaved. Now. I would very much like it if you could show me where the shop is. Thank you. My friend has gone missing and I would like to find him. I think a woman there might help, so I am quite anxious to speak to her again.”
