Amused that he'd initially made the usual rookie mistake, but pleased when he seemed to correct himself, Ebony finally decided to reveal herself. From behind the trash cans, she stood up to her full height (all five feet of it) and moved swiftly and catlike out of the shadows. "I was wondering how long it'd take you," Ebony finally replied vaguely, with all of her usual cocky swagger. "You're not as slow as most people, but you're not as quick as some others, either."
Upon entering the dim light of a nearby street lamp, closer to approaching the stranger, she was able to get a better look at him. And her eyes, promptly taking that opportunity scanned Jim from head to toe shamelessly assessing the stranger in his entirety. But before she could express approval or disapproval, Ebony's eyes finally moved upwards enough to study his face and she instantly startled backwards a step at what she found there.
"How old are you?" she demanded sharply, her brows furrowed in suspicion and head slanted slightly in curiosity.
