"Yes. I suppose it's good. I try not to let it get me down."
Norman was about to call this trip a failure (seeing as how he hadn't found the color he was looking for) when it suddenly appeared in front of him. Well, it didn't just appear. It had been sitting there all along between the sun golds and marigold paints. The perfect soft canary yellow he was looking for.
It reminded him of one of his birds. It was beautiful.
He picked up a sample swatch and looked at it more closely, just to be sure this was the color he wanted. Oh, yes. This color was exactly what the Bates Motel needed.
He grinned.
"I hope things work out for you and your s-sister. I'm sorry, but I have to go now. I need to get this paint, you see. I have a lot of work to do. Thank you for your help. Please s-stop by if you ever want a b-b-break from The City. Or just to talk. I don't get many people to talk to up there."
Norman nodded and then walked over to the counter. He was already planning a Grand Re-Opening. With his newly painted motel, people should come from all over The City. Oh, it was going to be wonderful. He could hardly wait.
