"Perhaps all it will take is time. It's strange not speaking with her or more not seeing her everyday. You'd think I'd be used to it by now." Simon paused in front of the paint pallet that was set up. He'd never done this before, so this was certainly interesting. Or atleast a decent distraction.
"That's good that your mother's no longer upset with you. Time works in healing." He tapped on a dark green that looked nice. A nice hunter green that seemed manly enough for a wall. Or walls? He could do his bedroom in this color, but he'd actually have to sleep in the bedroom.
The possibly misplaced Oh? had gone unnoticed. Simon had a horrible tendency of getting self-involved; sure, he was listening, but he wasn't listening that well. He was certainly not an "active listener."
