Simon's attention finally turned to Norman; the motel owner was still talking? To him? The good doctor supposed that he had more or less invited him into conversation, but the good doctor hadn't expected the strange man to accept the invitation. Thankfully, Simon could sometimes remember conversations, or bits of them that pertained to him, while his mind was occupied elsewhere.
"I suppose sea blue is a good color for an office. A dark wood is usually more dignified, paneling. But, sea blue could be acceptable if you're wanting comfort. You have to beware of that blue though; if it's the wrong shade, it might be what they call institution blue." There was a pause. "Have I said that already?"
Simon Tam shrugged and made his way through the slightly cluttered, but oddly comfortable store to the paints. He didn't exactly wince at the question, and again, he guessed he had asked for it.
"Mothers are good to have. And, no. Not fighting, we'd have to talk to do that."
