"Sea blue is n-nice. Not for a business though. But maybe I should p-p-paint my office. Blue could be nice for that. It's not too sad, is it? I wouldn't want anything sad at my motel. It's important to make the customers feel at h-home, you know."
Norman hadn't realized that Simon wasn't really talking to him when he was discussing colors. But Norman was like that. He had a strange sense of the world. And he had an even stranger place in it. And, not unlike Simon's sister, he didn't exactly fit in with what society considered to be the norm, so to speak.
But Mother had never wanted him to be that way.
"Oh. Are you in a fight with your sister?"
The question was a little forward, but that was just Norman's way.
"I don't have any siblings. I wouldn't know what that's like. I just have Mother."
