Hospital Rooftop
Gert knew dinosaurs. This? Was no dinosaur. This was...
"You've got to be kidding me."
The impact tremors had sidetracked her from her explorations of the City (learning her way around was a lot harder than she'd expected - it was almost as if things moved), and she'd been left exactly where she didn't want to be: on a roof. The theory had been that a lofty perch would give her a better view of the City, so she'd picked the nearest building with a stairwell that went up, and up she'd gone. And, for a while, the view had been great. Now? The hospital's roof was giving her a great view of a giant, supposedly imaginary lizard. The roof was not where she wanted to be. Didn't Godzilla like to wave its arms wildly and swipe buildings in half?
"What is this, late-night TV a week before Halloween?" Old Lace echoed Gert's disbelief with a soft screech.
