The world outside of the island was a very strange one. Everything moved very fast, and seemed dangerous in a way that the witch was not used to. The pathways to walk were strange, and different from the pathways in which the large transporting boxes moved, which were also strange. There was noise everywhere, and very few plants and animals. Nature was missing, as if repelled by the very thought of sharing space with this madness.
Maleficent had opted to wear pants, which she was now quite thankful for. She'd also put on the boots that had been supplied her. While they felt clunky and strange, she was very glad for them, as well. Her feet would have been filthy and she might have harmed her skin with the rough surfaces.
Diaval flew nearby, taking in the surroundings and chattering to her what he saw from on high.
"Yes. It's all very..." Maleficent started, when she heard the glass break. Curiosity moved her toward that direction, instead of away. What she saw when she rounded the corner was a strange girl, in strange clothing and strange makeup. She fit in very well in this strange place.
When the girl turned toward her, Maleficent didn't move. She might have been intimidated a bit by the horseless carriages, but she was not in any way frightened of a person.
