Eric listened intently to John's words letting the man say his peace. When the vampire was through, Eric shrugged his shoulders casually at his friend and leaned back gently against the cart holding his unitary and equipment, facing the man without a shred of fear or doubt.
"You aren't the only killer in this room, John. You're not the only person that has taken the life of someone else. The motive might be completely different, but please don't fool yourself into believing that you're the only one with blood on your hands."
Pushing slowly from the cart, Eric straightened his frame and then closed the distance between himself and John easily. Before John could move his out-turned palm, Eric set his own hand, palm down, on top of John's, "I'm not afraid of you. I like you more than I should, actually..." Eric replied, never taking his attention or gaze from the blonde.
In a flash, Eric began filling John's mind with visions from his past, just snaps of the vengeance and the blood, the symbols of the crow he'd left to mark his claims. All the while, Eric flooded John with calm and peace so as not to set him off.
He severed the connection once he was done with the short slide-show of his past and let his own hand drop back to his side, "You're not a monster, John. You have feelings and a heart just like everyone else."
