"Things are better now, yes." Macklyn smiled, thinking of how much better they were. He felt whole again. He felt like himself again. Being without Eric had taken such a chunk out of him that he hadn't even realized the whole extent until he'd gotten his soulmate back. "I don't think we'll have issues like that one again. I'm sure there will be others, but hopefully nothing as large."
He did not want to go without his mate for that long ever again, at least not on the terms of an argument. Macklyn was sure that after a certain amount of time, Eric would want to explore the world on his own. Difficult in a place such as this, but Macklyn didn't think they would be here forever.
"Wedding." He raised an eyebrow. "Do you not want it because you don't want it, or because of these quite rational worries you're having? It's very natural to be worried, Selina. To have doubts. But it's silly to think that he wants you to change. He loves you for you, and I think he'd be disappointed if you changed. I would be, if it were me."
He smiled a little, softly and full of kindness. "Vent away, friend."
