The shock of the woman's accent kept Eric from paying attention to what she was actually saying. He found he no longer cared about the reasons she didn't really seem to like the park. There were more important things at hand.
He looked at her to get a better idea of who she might be. The way she was dressed hearkened back to the ancient times her accent claimed, even though it was more modern than he guessed she was used to.
["Eric the Northman"] he said in a language that he usually only spoke with Pam. And he'd had to teach it to her. Eric knew that this woman before him would already know it. He'd not heard her accent in ... hundreds of years. Hundreds. ["And you would be?"]
Honestly, he was trying to contain his excitement over this new revelation.
