Eric offered a smile of amusement at the comment about numbers and mystery. If they were to be named, then they would be. If not, then that was fine too. It wasn't as though they were making CDs or anything for mass production. And he doubted they would ever play the songs for anyone other than themselves.
As John began to sing, Eric stilled. He was good, and his assumption about the vampire had been right (as they usually were; Eric tended to have a very reliable gut when it came to things) and he turned up one of the dials to capture the sound.
When John was through singing, Eric cut the recording. He pressed the intercom button and grinned, "What's stopping you now?" They were in a studio, after all. "Lack inspiration?" First things first, "I made you a promise. When you're ready we can go."
