"Ah, but you wouldn't shell out for some synthetic either?" John raised a brow at his friend, then shook his head with a chuckle and let the matter drop. They didn't seem to discuss their personal natures that often, and while John was no longer squemish about discussing his peculiar feeding habits, he suspected keeping quiet about them around non-vampires was for the best.
His brows lifted when he turned and saw the guitar sitting in the studio. He could tell at once it was a beautiful instrument, but before he could respond he was presented with another item.
"I understand," he said, taking the key ub hand and brushing the crow with his thumb. "I promise I won't do anything to jeopardize the security around here." He didn't think his family would have any interest in coming to this place, but he didn't know what else could be in the City, and understood Eric's caution.
He smiled and reached out, clapping Eric's shoulder. "Thank you," he said, genuinely excited about the gifts and trust he'd been granted. "I can't wait to see how she sounds."
