Aidan wasn't quite sure what to do with himself. He had thoroughly enjoyed his time with Evey, and it had felt natural. It had felt like it should. Even if her body was a little bit different, she was still Evey. But he knew that Evey's heart, half of it anyway, belonged to another man. She would never be wholly his. Aidan wanted that. He also wanted her to feel happy.
Which is why he'd told her that he was willing to share. It was up to Preston now, to decide if the sharing was possible on his end. Aidan hoped that it was, he didn't want Evey to have to decide.
He'd been good, with Peter's blood, staying away from the hospital's stores. But there was a problem with it. He wanted more and more of it. At first it had sated him. Now he craved it. Now he needed it. This disturbed him. A lot.
But he knew that he was safe from harming others, so he was slowly getting himself out among them. Starting with people he didn't care about. Hence his being in this section of town. He walked at a casual pace, his senses aware of everything around him. There were people he kind of wanted to see, but wasn't sure if he should yet.
