Peggy was warm with Alex, not making fun of his reaction or drawing attention to it. She had seen looks like that before, and she knew that he was worth more than he let himself believe. He had proved it time and time again already on this strange zoo journey.
"You're right, they are easier. They cannot tell you that you're wrong, they cannot deny you emotion or merit. But people can be easy, as well. You just haven't found the right people yet in which can ease your burden. I would be happy to be your friend if you would like." The agent kept her eyes on the strange young man and waited patiently.
It was uncanny how much Alex reminded her of Doctor Banner. She would make a mental note to introduce them if they hadn't already met. She was curious to see what Alex would make of Stark Tower, and then just the thought of having to deal with Stark had her shivering (and not for the good).
