The enclosure Peggy motioned to was nearby, but walled off by a thick mesh between it and the Nemicolopterus habitat. While the Nemicolopterus pen was lush and tropical, the other thinned out rapidly to water with jutting rocks along the corners. The flying reptiles within, perhaps the size of a large hawk or medium-sized eagle, lounged on the rock or along the water.
"These are actually Pterodactylus antiquus," Alex said brightly. "They're kind of akin to sea birds, in terms of behavior and diet." He noticed Peggy's shiver and frowned. "Is it cold in here? Do you need a jacket? We try to keep the temperature constant, but if there's a draft..."
