Peggy nodded as they approached the office door. She crossed the threshold but lingered in the doorway as Alex freshened up and took care of Crow. The toss and catch of the perished rodent didn't phase her one bit, and when her guide was ready Peggy turned and was out the door.
She kept an easy pace with Alex, looking at what he pointed to. She absorbed his words, learning, all the while impressed even with the more mundane of creatures like the reptiles and amphibians.
The agent knew a little bit about dinosaurs, and she brightened some as she beheld the creatures. "Oh, I know these. Pterodactyls, yes? I recognize them from the museum and from books as a child." Perhaps the sentence came out a bit more breathy than she would have liked but they were stunning. She wished they were tame enough to touchX but they were beautiful in spite of the distance.
