"It could be," Alex agreed. "There's a griffin-like marsupial in Australia called the garrinna. They're not technically related but it's convergent evolution, and they have the same basic body plan. Anyway, they're curious, and they have a tendency to chew open locks and take apart cars when they're bored." Alex shuddered. "At least Crow's never done that."
"Sauropsids," he corrected absently. "Though we do have a mated pair of brachiosaurs. The large sauropods need a lot of space and even more food, but they really are impressive." He gave Peggy a self-deprecating grin. "I don't take care of them all by myself. There's some workers who help with maintenance, feeding, all that. But I get to take the notes." He grinned widely. "It's amazing."
