Logan paused to allow the fairy to savor the atmosphere of the park. All around the branches of the trees were illuminated by baubles of lights on strings, offering the serenity that was promised to the pedestrians as they strolled. The fresh grass was manicured, the sidewalks neat and with it cracks. Children and City-folk played, sat, talked.
When she was ready, Logan guided her to the carriage. The horse took a step back, unsettled slightly at the strange presence, but Logan growled softly to it and assured it that neither of them meant harm. A click of the horse's hooves and a toss of its head, and the beast agreed to carry them to their destination.
He helped Maleficent in to the buggy, and once she was seated, Logan climbed in to the front, pulled up the reins and the horse began to move through the park. Cobblestone paths met actual concrete as they strolled. Logan gave Maleficent a tour of the City as he guided her, and finally they ended at the bridge across to the smaller islands across town.
The horse paused at the bridge, tossing its head. "Thanks for carryin' us," Logan breathed to he horse. He climbed down from the front, and moved to get the door for the Queen, offering a hand of support so she could get down from the buggy safely.
