"Thanks," Matt said with a smile, "I've had a lot of practice." Even as a boy he'd had to learn to cook. Late nights that were spent waiting up for his father to come home from a fight, warning a casserole in their tiny oven. Even going as far as making Jack cereal if it got too late, and he always made sure to get up early so his dad would have something to eat for breakfast.
He chuckled and shook his head as arose marveled at his dish. He helped himself to a good portion of food and began to eat.
Matt had a lot of faith in Rose. No matter where she struggled he would be there to help her, be it a career choice or simply keeping the house tidy and neat. He knew what it was like to struggle, and to need help, but there was nothing like the feeling of finally getting the hang of something on your own. The feeling of not needing anyone for support
