The laughter was like music to Selina's ears. For a moment she got caught in the past, a small snap of a memory filled her mind - she could see her sister, Rosie, clearly in her line of sight, giggling capriciously at something they had thought up together one day while playing in their room. Daddy had been asleep on the couch, passed out drunk. The girl had learned to play softly and not wake him though usually he slept like the dead and for quite a long while.
Her image faded away as quickly as it had come and Selina snapped back into reality. Lifting her chin, the Cat trekked confidently after the woman with the wild hair and approached the wall.
Patiently Selina waited while Helena painted. A tilt of her head and she looked at the art before her, "Try something sparkly. That always helps to make things prettier." Selina held up a can of sparkly silver paint and offered it to her new friend.
