"He say thank you," Firekeeper added. "We not see other wolves here--only dogs on leashes." Her nose wrinkled in distaste. She had little use for dogs, especially some of the small hairy deformed-looking ones that she had seen. At least Edlin's hounds and Race's spotted bitch had been of types that were useful for tracking and hunting. What were the small ones good for? Decoration? Cleaning floors?
