Blind Seer sniffed the air once again and settled himself down, still keeping wary eyes on Robin. Firekeeper fanned the air around the roasted squirrel to cool it off, and shook her head "no." "Eagle's Nest a city, but not like that." She waved in the general direction of the nearest visible cluster of buildings over the treetops. "Smaller. Stone, not metal. Not smell so much of burning."
She hesitated, then held out the spitted squirrel. "You want part?" It was a magnanimous gesture for her--she was territorial about her food. Not only was it wolf-like to guard her own food, but she had lived at close to near-starvation for nearly a decade, and old habits were hard to give up. Beside her, Blind Seer thumped his tail once in amusement, and she cuffed him with a quick smile.
