Aidan watched her, hoping to be able to see within her mind and know what she was thinking. Alas, he could not. And she had learned too well how to hide her emotions from showing upon her face. She was, indeed, better at it than she had been once upon a time. He supposed that losing the person that you love and having to live without them while dealing with a strange new world and keeping a group of people alive and then having to do it all over again a second time would make it necessary to have a mask.
Whatever thoughts ran through her mind were a complete mystery to him. But it didn't change what he'd said or what he'd told her to do. It didn't change the sentiment behind his words.
"Of course." Aidan nodded. "I didn't expect this all to get solved this moment. You've got to talk to him, and who knows what he's going to say."
