Look! In the sky! It's a bird! It's a.... oh crap. [Steve]
The force had been on alert. A number of people had made reference to a mover called The Birds which Kuvira had never heard of. The pteranodons cast shadows larger than their eighteen-foot wingspans over the city streets. Residents were encouraged to stay indoors. The flock kept circling and circling. Many of the large creatures started to perch on rooftops like giant gargoyles. School was cancelled to keep children at home and safe.
Kuvira was patrolling. For all the warning, both through official channels and in the stalking of the predatory winged dinos, there were a number of citizens that continued on as usual. The beat cop continued her foot patrol, worried the park was the most vulnerable area for attack.
She was both angry and disheartened to find people were picnicking. They brought their cameras, took pictures, set off flashes. Her hands tightened into fists. If this had been her City, the park would be closed. These people would be forced to move back into their homes until the all clear was given.
"Move along!" she finally barked. "Step into your vehicles and go home!"
Kuvira was half expecting a reprimand if anyone called the station to complain. It would be worth it.
