He had not expected protest from her, she was one of the few that understood the necessity of the action, but he sighed in relief anyway. He was grateful there was no resistance or any drama. Bruce was glad that he had met Liv, it was like a breath of fresh air to finally have someone around that actually knew the plight. Even if the situation was different.
And there was her head again on his shoulder. Maybe he could sit there with her for a little bit longer and comfort her some more. At least she wasn't crying still. He put an arm around her gently and held her close, hoping that it was some kind of comfort. She seemed like she still might need it.
"You deserve a good night once in a while," Bruce replied. "You're welcome to come visit me any time at Stark Tower, and you'll still see me at the hospital. If you ever don't feel safe you can come to the Tower, too. I can protect you better there than I can here and Tony always has a spare bedroom to loan out if it's really needed."
