Explosives had never been Brandt's forte. He knew more about weapons, about extracting information, and about strategy. Hazarding a glance in the rear view before turning his attention back on the goal of getting them out and safe, he wondered just how much damage those creatures were going to do.
"We need to cover our escape," he said. "Even if the beasts destroy Blackgate completely, there will eventually be a search of the wreckage. Our bodies will be missing."
He knew from their long conversations that Bane was intelligent enough not to need more than that. They would have to return. Not, perhaps, tonight - but the sooner, the better.
