Any other day the things coming out of Annie's mouth would have shocked Tony, and probably made him laugh. Unfortunately at the moment he had absolutely no sense of humor.
He just sneered back as the other man made his exit, still standing between him and Annie protectively, though at this point probably as much for Edward's benefit as Annie's. He knew she hadn't trained in the suit, but he didn't suppose it would take too much effort for her to make it work for her, if she really wanted to take control.
He barely caught the last words of the other, and didn't pay them much mind. He was too busy getting Jarvis to pull around his own car, sent for on the slower streets at the same time as he'd left in his suit.
He turned back to Annie, looking her up and down, not letting go of her hand as he reached up, gauntleted hand touching the metal protecting her neck, fully deactivated.
"I'm sorry," he said, voice low. "I couldn't fight him with all these people around, are you alright?"
