She lingered on the top step, her mouth twitching with mirth and delight. He would stay. At least a little while longer. Maybe she could convince him to stay until Megan got home. That was a bit of a trick; Beauty highly suspected that her dear almost-sister was going to stay out for the entire night. Still, he might have caught much of the same from the two of them back at the bowling alley. It was a thought. It was certainly a thought.
"Maybe I should make iced tea," she said, keeping one arm lightly looped where it was. The other slid away, so that her fingers could touch collar that was loosened at the base of his throat. "It seems to me," she said, and this time it was with a grin rather than a smile. "You still might be hot."
Before he could respond, she slid away from him. Beauty always locked her door, but never had to unlock it. The locking mechanism responded to her touch - Megan's, too, actually, once it was clear the girl was there to stay. So, rather than messing with keys, she went straight away into her home, and straight to the kitchen, where she began to work.
