Her jaw was set even before he finished speaking. It was a consequence of this place, she was sure. If he was Thor, then he was a god. It could not be other than that. This strange place, this City, had made it so that she spoke a tongue other than her own and set her among people who could not exist. It had simply made it so that a god had forgotten that he was a god.
Siggy may have only been a human, but she was a determined one. She was no priest, nor even as devoted as Floki had been, but she knew what she must do. She must make Thor remember that he was a god. The universe would not abide otherwise.
"Of course," she said simply. "If you say so." It would do no good to argue with him in this state, after all; best to treat him as she would any man who said something so plainly wrong. She would let him say what he thought and then do what she intended to do regardless. "I would be most honored if you let me continue to wait upon you."
