This was easier for Steve. Seeing the pieces in play worked better for his tactical mind. It helped, at least, to think that he hadn't completely abandoned his responsibilities on Earth. Not that his arrival here had been voluntary, of course.
It didn't change the reality, that he would go back if presented the opportunity. But it removed some of the desperation.
"I haven't had the chance to see Tony yet," he admitted. He and the inventor had mutual respect for one another, but they had never quite seen eye to eye. Plus, Steve had been busy with some personal attachments.
