Handing Steve a pair of oven mitts, Peggy proceeded to open the oven door for casserole extraction. "Could you please set one of these on the table?" She had made more food than she and Siggy both could eat because she had a feeling that between Steve and James, they would eat like it was going out of style. Their higher rates of metabolism kept the pair of them constantly hungry, Peggy recalled that being one of the drawbacks to the procedure. But of course the good things more than outweighed the bad for Steve.
At the question, Peggy glanced up at Steve. Her hands had gone around to her back and her fingers pulled at the tied string of her apron. She slipped out of it, hung it neatly on a hook and then replied softly, "She's a bit young, don't you think?" But that was all Peggy would say about it.
